The North Face Roadrunner 33-A rugged 3 season tent
The Roadrunner 33 is another in the fine line of 3 season tents offered by North Face. Based on the award winning Roadrunner 23, this larger dual vestibule free standing tent can comfortably accommodate three adults with its 47 inches of headroom and its 46 square feet of living area (97" x 76" footprint). Yet at only 8 lbs 1 oz and a packed size of 6"x 18" this is truly a tent that backpackers can appreciate.
It has continuous pole sleeves built in for the stability, strength and wind protection that you would normally find in a 4 season tent. Set-up is a breeze with color coding on the canopy and the fly zippers. Another feature are the glow-in-the-dark zipper pulls that make for easy ingress/egress at night. The floor bucket is taped and designed to be highly waterproof and of course the 40-denier 240T ripstop nylon canopy is of the quality that North Face tents are known for. The polyurethane windows have been cold-crack tested to resist temperatures to -60˚F. Three DAC aluminum poles slide easily into the continuous pole sleeve design and accomplish the framing. The multiple reflective tie-down guyline loops are located a key points to securely lanyard the tent. A nice feature is the ability to pitch this tent 'fly-only' in the hot summer months.
The Roadrunner 33 is compatible with the North Face #2 Gear Loft. Be it in the heat of summer or in the middle of a thunder storm, the North Face Roadrunner 33 is up to the task for hikers, backpackers or campers alike.
